WHAT TO BRING

Bedding and Towels
  1. The houses are fully equipped. Cleaning services come after each guest. Like all AirBNBs, the expectation is that the place will be neat--laundry ready to throw in the washer, kitchen clean and dishes in the dishwasher, etcetera. The property managers, Russian River Rentals, have a checklist that you will find when you get there. They are not shy about billing if the clean-up needs are out of the ordinary.
  2. There are a few sleeping pads located in the Pool House Storage Room (bottom of the stairs). Please use them anywhere in the Pool House and return to the storage room when finished.
Food and Drinks
We have great kitchens to cook in however you will need to supply all of your own food and charcoal. There are several nearby grocery stores:
  1. Berry's Market, right next to the Hacienda Bridge on Rte. 116. Open daily from 6am to 10pm.
  2. Speer's Market, on Mirabel Road, about 2.5 miles SE of Black Mountain. Open daily from 8am to 7pm.
  3. Fiesta Market (like Andronico's with organic selections), in downtown Sebastopol, also on Rte. 116. Open daily from 8am to 7pm.
  4. Safeway in downtown Sebastopol, also on Rte. 116.

Other Things to Bring
  1. Sun block and hats (it's very hot in the Summer months)
  2. Flashlights
  3. Your own coffee and filters
  4. Slippers for indoors (no shoes inside please)
  5. Tec-Nu for washing people, clothing, etc. (for poison oak)
  6. Bikes

Things to Note

We strongly discourage you from bringing your dogs. And we don’t allow them inside.
Here is why:
  • Poison oak is everywhere, and the main way to get it is to have your dog run out and bring it back and spread it on your kids, friends and the furniture.
  • Deer Ticks, which give everyone Lymes’ disease (which is, as you know, to be avoided at all costs) are best transported into the house and onto you and your kids through dogs.
  • Dogs bark at the chickens, and scare them. Hens freak out, egg production goes haywire, the coop gets very neurotic.
  • Dogs unnerve the animals that live around here, including foxes and wildcats. Dogs barking and chasing all of the many animals that are always wandering through the property is very tedious for everyone.
